if the relay continuously clicks you may have a problem

 

Yep, I have a problem as it does it as long as I'm on the gas and/or the engine is under load.

What relay is it or related to what?

its a gasket in the exhaust manifold or something. my 01 had this problem, and it was replaced, and the noise stopped. however, a few days later it came back. i am assuming that the gasket is dead again. there are a few that need to be replaced come to think of it. what happens is the high pressure of the exhaust gas is pushing through, and making that popping sound. hope that helps.

I just got mine (06 sr5) and I hear that too. When I go past 40 mph. But it comes from the dash not the engine.

 

I have the same problem on my o6 sr5 it sounds like it is coming from a/c controls. I heard it as I was driving off the lot.

 

I ave a wired relay like clicking behind the center console after starting the engine (cold or hot)

It's normal. It took me a while to get used to it, but it's that 90's technology shining through.

(I didn't believe my service tech when he told me it was normal until I asked to test drive another Sequoia on the lot) It usually happens only once a minute or two into my drive but I don't even notice it anymore. "Click-click!"
