Hello, does anyone know the TSB number for the control arm bushing issue the 11th gens have?

Also, what is the removal procedure for the control arms? Has anyone done it before? Is it true you have to remove a motor mount and lift the engine 2 inches to get the oil pan to clear the control arm bolt on one side? Hopefully someone with access to a repair manual can chime in.

Thank you, yeah I've been using Dupont Silicone Spray on mine every 6 months for the last 2 years. It worked well initially but I'm beginning to feel a light physical clunk now in the floor area when I hit bumps. All other suspension parts are fine though.

I'm just curious how the job is done because it looks like the drivers side control arm bolt is blocked by the transmission oil pan, and the passenger side control arm bolt is blocked by the oil filter and the housing it threads onto. I don't know if it requires unbolting the motor/transmission mounts to lift the engine/transmission up a little bit to clear the bolts or if the subframe can be unbolted and dropped like an inch to get the bolts to clear. And if you can even do the job in your driveway on jack stands or if you need a lift.

The new control arm part number is a better put together part. I've seen the old part number ones last 350,000km, and some only last 80,000km it's just luck it seems.

The new number removes the luck factor, and you get a quality part regardless.

From the 3 sets we've done at my work it is not very DIY friendly, as they use a lift, and a few other jacks for stability and separating the subframe from each side due to the bolt locations... (Engineers am I right)
