Creaking/knock noise left front when brake pedal deeply pressed

2021 XSE with 24k miles. Very noticeable knock noise when braking at low speed parking lot maneuvering/turning. Easily replicable when stopped by deeply pressing the brake pedal, with the trans in drive, and not when in park or neutral. Noise happens as pedal is depressed and when released and is audibles from both inside and outside the car. Noise also occurs while stopped and turning the steering wheel. Sounds like quickly hitting a hammer on metal a few times as the pedal is depressed.

Dealer initially couldn’t replicate the noise, then as it got worse I took it back and clearly showed it to the service advisor, who confirmed the noise. The tech called and said the strut was the source, so they replaced it (which had already been replaced once before at 5k miles) and of course the noise is still there. You’d think they’d confirm the fix before giving me the car back, but nooooo. Left side CV axle has also been replaced at 20k miles due to it “being dry and binding”.

I’m thinking it’s a brake issue such as a sticking caliper slide/pin. Anyone have any ideas before I take it back to the dealer?

The dealer thought it was the left front strut so they replaced it, and of course that had no effect on the noise. After further evaluation they determined it was a brake pad that needed some grease (?). Not sure exactly what part they "greased" but I had suspected it was a brake component anyway, and sure enough that's what it was.
