I've been looking for suspension upgrades and I notices a lot of people refers to the van as a TCR10, TCR11 or TCR20. I assume this are the shorter/longer versions of the Estima, right?? Is that the only difference?? Will suspension parts be compatible between those plattforms??

Thanks

TCR20 is the designation for AWD (1994+)
Be careful because this can mean solid-rear axle, or independent rear. (In Japan, both were availible.)
TCR10 is the designation for 2WD solid rear only...
TCR11 is the USDM Previa 1990-1993 ish... before the AWD was added.

The major changes are on the rear end...
Independent rear was added to the JDM models and the shock absorbers mount different.

Springs are pretty much swap-able between TCR10-20 chassis

The Lucida and the Emina are the narrow versions of the TCR chassis (TCR10G)

You sir are awesome!! Your explanation couldn't be any better, just one question...

I have a TCR10 or TCR11?? Mine is a 1991 RWD solid axle here in USA.

Anyways I need front coilovers so if you say they are all the same that's good, but I might buy a complete front and rear kit (i need more stiff shocks in the back too) so might as well be sure.

Thanks so much!!!

I have a 91 also and mine reads TCR11W (W i think means standard size van )

Im not sure on the TCR20 front coils. I havent really seen enough of
them in person to really tell the difference... I would go with the TCR10W's
because those are the closest to the USDM Previas in terms of usable parts..
BTW im so down for Previa drifting! Nice job!

The best coils out there are the Tein Super Wagon coils and if you get the ones
with the EDFC you can adjust the stiffness on the rear axle with the shocks...but
they are pricey...(like $700-1000)

Oh cool, ok so mine is probably a TC11W too right?? Is this on the VIN???

I found a set of Cusco coilovers for $380 in japan, but they say TCR20W which is AWD right?? The question is, the front shocks will fit mine or not?? The front is what I am most concerned of right now.

Gotta love the engrish, lol

Owners is that with the use in TCR20W before. Vacanza. I do not know detailed specs. Length formula. Fixed attenuation. I'm stockout rear suspension. There may be a shortage of other parts possibly. Please purchase separately if there is a part missing. Front and rear shock return Yes. I do not know the original, but resistance remains, I am weak. Rotate the adjustment screw all. Yes bitter part of the rotation sites so far from some rust, scratches on the screws. For vehicles with four-link. TCR11/21 is impossible.

Vehicle Model: TCR10/20W

The vin should say either TCR10 or 11.
Nengun is a pretty good site for Estima/Previa stuff.
Make sure you send an inquiry on the condition of the coils.
(Nobody likes buying blown coils)
They should work. And the rear shocks look like they bolt to
a solid axle van..just confirm first.

When Nengun says JUNK on an item they usually mean it.
The coils probably dont return at all...
Ive seen a few shops rebuild stuff like that but its gonna cost alot...

Well... shipping really kills it, almost $300 for the cheapest shipping option just to get a $380 set of used coilovers... when I think I can find them brand new already here (special ordered) for around $900... tough decision....

Yeah. international shipping is really expensive on heavy stuff like that.
Its too bad there were no enthusiasts here in america so none of that stuff came over.

Since your're in AZ check these guys out. They're more VIP but they will understand
how to get a decent set.

I think that is not exactly correct. I think the Frame codes are:

TCR10 = RWD Live rear axle
TCR20 = AWD Live rear axle

TCR11 = RWD IRS
TCR21 = AWD IRS

You can also enter your vin at

And see your frame code and lots of other info.
My 1992 LE RWD is definitely a TCR10L

Shigen, I think a TCR11W should be a Japanese Market Estima with independent rear suspension. Is that what you have?
