For a while i`ve been looking for the OBD connector on my 99 gen 4 Camry but i can`t find it?
I looked in the Haynes manual, used Google and search this forum. Everyone says its located under de dash at the steering collum. But there isn`t. The hole is there but the OBD port isn`t. Instead there is a white round connector called diagnostics ? I know you can jump the diagnostic connector under the hood for reading codes by counting flashes on the dash.
It`s a bit strange, a car off 99 with no obd connector? Seems funny i think. Next step (if a really cant find it) is to call my toyota dealer. Because i want to read the live data so i can sort a hesitation out while driving (when you hit the gas, its not constant there). (i think it might be the injectors of being dirty, i ran 2 1/2 tanks with injector cleaner and it seems to help a bit).
Thanks!
