Digital rearview mirror

Hello all, new to the site. I have not purchased a highlander hybrid but it's at top of my list. A couple questions, I'm pretty set on the limited trim just doesn't have the digital rearview mirror. My question is does anyone know if you're able to buy the mirror the platinum trim uses and install it on the limited? Also any quirks or dislikes y'all can warn me about ahead of time? Thank you in advance.
No. The Platinum's rear view digital mirror uses a separate camera mounted on the back. This, and the pano roof, dynamic headlights, and the caramel leather are the only items you can get on the Limited.

Coming from a 2001 LX470, the headlights are really awesome. I usually drive with my fog lights on and it really lights up the road. I'm sure the Platinum has a slightly better lighting during curves, but I don't think you'll be disappointed with the Limited. Although, the digital rear view mirror would have been nice.

During the first few drives with my Platinum I found myself trying to look through the digital rear view mirror, much like I did for many years using a standard rear view mirror. Once I acclimated to the view I discovered that a car approaching from the left rear (passing me on the interstate) near my vehicle aligned with the side view mirrors in such a way as to "supplement" the BSM.

I've also learned that I can adjust the mirror much more "left" to get a quicker view with less time with my eyes off of the road. No matter what position the mirror is adjusted to I get the same view, unlike a standard rear view mirror that, sometimes I would lean into to get a better view.
Have you consider adjusting the side mirrors so they are more outward? Most people are taught to adjust the side mirrors so the driver sees the side of the car, which creates blind spots. I put my head against the window and adjust the driver side mirror until the side of the car is barely seen. Then, I put my head in the middle of the car and do the same for the passenger side mirror.
