I replaced the backup lights as they were easy to get too.

Here is the link to the bulbs I used.

1. Take your plastic pry tool. and squeeze it between the panels where you see in the picture below. Work across the top near the window and pop that side out first, then just pull straight up to remove the cover.

2. Twist the bulb out, and pull. Then remove the oem bulb and insert the led. Some leds may need to be flipped depending on the polarity to work. Once you install both, verify they work before inserting it back by turning on your ignition (no engine) and putting it in R. Update: 04/06/2021 - first remove the wire plug from the bulb base, making the twisting of the bulb much more accessible (Thanks for the tip MGHiXSE)

I was having problems seeing the edge of my driveway at night in the reverse monitor backing up using the stock bulbs but can easily see it now.. That’s all I was really looking for. I’m sure it looks brighter at night when I’m pulling out of a parking space, also.

Amazing instructions Pimpin, Thank You! I used a pair of Sirius LED 921 6500k bulbs from Amazon. It lights up my reverse path much better than the stock, making it so much safer to back out in the dark. It was a fun and easy project, taking only 10 minutes.

I'd just like to add for your step 2 to first remove the wire plug from the bulb base, making the twisting of the bulb much more accessible. I found it tricky to twist the bulb as I couldn't grip it enough before the sharp metal body got in the way. So I used a pair of pliers wrapped in tape to gently twist the bulb assembly out. It only takes about a quarter turn counterclockwise for the assembly to release.
