2019 Corolla SE
14xxx miles
I was underneath my car a couple weeks ago and noticed the bottom of the transmission was kind of oily/dirty. I wiped it off and saw what looks likes cracks in the bellhousing. About a hundred miles later I crawled under and saw what was clearly transmission fluid leaking out. It's not leaking enough to drip or leave any fluid on my garage floor or anything but it's clearly seeping out. I brought it in to the dealer and they are thinking the torque convertor seal is leaking. They took some pictures and sent them into Toyota for warranty approval. The dealer called me the other day and said Toyota is requesting more pictures/info so I need to stop in again in a couple days so they can look at it some more.
I Googled until my eyes bled and depending on what you read the cracks could be normal aluminum casting marks. I'm curious as to what you guys think? Either way I am kind bummed since it looks like it's gonna need some not so minor surgery already.
I have owned the car since brand new and I have never hit anything and there is no impact damage anywhere under there plus that part is kind of tucked up in there pretty good.
