2000 XLS.
So I'm replacing (again) the rear valve cover gasket after my first attempt failed. Oil started leaking pretty severely and I'm not sure exactly from where because I can't see. But my suspicion is I screwed up the application of the FIPG silicone.
As I understand it, it needs to cover those two seams on the driver's side:
It needs to cover the underside of the half-moon:
And you also need to have a bead at the corners where the cams engage with the timing belt:
Is that correct? If so, about how much should I use? Desperate not to screw this up a second time.
