I'm debating between a short bed/long bed and I remember hearing something about the dcab longbed being too long to fit? I'd like to be able to park it in my garage. Thx

Depends how long your garage is. I think garage size is regional. A DC long bed would fit in my garage, but the bumper would be kinda close to my work bench. If I didn't have a work bench then it would fit fine. I gots to have my work bench, so that was another reason why I decided to buy a DC short bed.

The Longbed is aprox. 18ft long and the Shortbed is approx. 17ft long so measure the space you have in your garage.

I have a DC short bed and it barely fits in my Florida garage. In Florida the garage door must meet hurricane code so a brace bar is added to the door and sticks out about 10". I do not know if Huston area requires hurricane projection. But if hurricane code applies then take in account the brace bars.

The long bed is 18'-5", the and the short bed is 17'-4", those measurements are without hitch and bullbars, a typical bullbar will add 2 to 4 inches to the front depending on brand and model, and hitches usually add around a foot to the back, just measure your space and decide what's best for you.

Good luck and enjoy the new vehicle

As someone stated earlier, the garages here in Vegas are a little smaller than your average garage. I have shelving on both sides of my walls in the garage and a small workbench towards the front, my DC SB barely fits no thanks to my workbench. I had to hang a tennis ball from the ceiling so that I can tell exactly when I get too close to hitting the bench, a LB definitely would not fit unless I chopped the workbench down.

What is considered a standard size garage? My DC SB fits with plenty of room to spare, my F250 CC LB is a tight fit as you have to pull within a foot of the wall to close the door.

I dont think garage sizes are regional but maybe more or the time when the house was built and the builder. My current house was built in 1986.
