I just had new H&R springs installed and it looks like the rear end is lower than the front end. Ist this normal? I though only eibachs had rear end sagging? And the mechanic told me he had to cut a bit off the end of the springs and remove the rear seat?

WTF? If the springs were the correct model for your vehicle, the mechanic should not have even THOUGHT about cutting the springs... but yes you do need to remove the rear seat to get to the mounting bolts for the rear struts. you are sagging in the rear because the mechanic cut the springs! I think its time you get another mechanic that knows what he's doing... you shouldn't have to modify a part to make it fit if its the correct part.

he should of never cut. my dad installed trd springs without having to cut anything. should be same for the h&rs. go and bitch to the mechanic until he gets you new springs and then go somewhere else for installation.

+1... this is why i did the install myself... everything fits into place perfectly ad there should be ABSOLUTELY NO cutting to any part of the suspension to get it to fit.... you good sir have got to find a new mechanic asap and also get these springs payed for by the idiot who installed them

yeah. another myth is that people think cutting bumpstops will lower the vehicle more. it doesn't, it just affects the rebound of the shocks/struts.

If your mechanic didn't cut the bumpstops, it would make your car 10x bouncier. When your car goes on a dip, your car would excessively bounce afterwards.

djkor, if i get coils then i don't need to change out the stopers right? man i should look/ask if my dad changed the stopers in my friends car when installing the trd springs. though i think he knows what he is doing and probably did.
