I have an 05 Corolla S and when I got in the car today I noticed that the "Door Ajar" light was just faintly lighting up. All doors and trunk was closed. I checked all of the contacts and they seem to be working as expected. When door is open, light brightens. When I manually press the contacts the light goes back to faint. One thing I did notice, was when the headlights turn on, the light goes all the way out (as in back to normal). Anyone have any ideas? I know someone mentioned about a leak from a sunroof but my car does not have a sunroof. Thanks for the help everyone!

Double check all the doors are aligned. If the doors are slightly sagging, they might not be hitting the door switch.
The connector is a 2 pin connector inside the b and c pillars. Test for voltage to verify they are functioning electrically. When you double check the switch, pay attention to the plunger to see if it’s sticking.
