Door Ajar light is on but....

Ok so my 2010 corolla S has the door ajar in the instrument cluster on, yet all the doors and trunk are shut. I have know that if the doors are not shut the car will not lock it will beep non stop until the doors are closed, but my car does lock and the light remains on. It sounds very wierd but i will take pics and put up very soon.

Let me know if this has happened to you

Does anybody know what i can do before taking it to a mechanic

maybe a faulty switch where the door closes on.

This kind of happened to me, but it turns out the trunk was open, just looked closed.

It was my trunk latch, there was an electrical error with it. I took the car to the dealership and they replaced the latch good thing I had my 36k mile insurace... yay no more door ajar light

I have 1992 Toyota previa le minivan and I'm trying to turn the door ajar light off completely so it stops running my new battery down ,so it doesn't ruin my new battery....how can I go in and just turn it off for I guess all the doors that's much easier than trying to figure out which door is doing it right?

The door switch is behind the b pillar. Unplug the connector and see if that helps.
