My Toyota phone app used to show me information about recent trips through a feature called Drive Pulse. Toyota discontinued that in April. I would still like to see this information. What is the best way to duplicate Drive Pulse?
This morning, I called the Earl on Cars Live radio/streaming show and asked about this. Earl Stewart is a Toyota dealer in Florida who has a good reputation for honest dealing. During the call Earl's master technician said that a Toyota dealership technician could retrieve drive history data via a Techstream scan tool. He called it "The Record of Behavior." This seems to be an inconvenient and expensive way to go, if they would even do it at all.
I'm thinking a phone app that uses GPS and motion detection might be the answer, but maybe there is a better way. Any suggestions?
