Hi everyone, I pulled out my engine and rebuilt it in my 02 Corolla and the cv axle is in the way of letting the engine twist or moving over enough to get the clutch or flywheel inside the transmission, has anyone had this problem before. Basically was just wondering if there is any way to get it in without taking the cv out. It is a manual also

My bro and I replaced an engine on a 05 manual tran Matrix. I cannot visualize removing the engine and tran without removing the CV shafts. I suppose it can be done, but they were not very difficult to remove. With the shafts hanging in the air, you are likely to damage the output seals.
