I have an 09 and thats exactly where mine sits once warmed up, always

 

I swore that I saw a similar thread to this. I'll say the same thing here. That's exactly where mine reads on my 09 Corolla S Turbo and on my Scangauge the OEM needle reads right there when my Scangauge reads roughly between 165F to 215F.

 

I know it's been a few weeks, but that's right where the needle sits on my 2012 Corolla LE 92k miles. I've only had it three months and came here looking to see if that temp gauge was normal

 

My toyota corrolla nze 121 2002 is warm at the driver's leg space. Is this normal? The temperature gauge is below the middle point.

 

Is your cabin heater working? I used to have same problem in my 2012 1.6 corolla. Later upon inspection found the engine head coolant hose & cabin heater return hose interchanged by mechanic unknowingly. Problem rectified after correction the hoses.

 

I also have a Corolla Altis 2011 and that's the exact pisition of the temp needle and idle speed

 

Funny thread covering 6 years!! Since others brought it back to life, I'll point out that the temperature gauge is controlled by the computer and not directly from a temperature sensor. Temperatures probably vary 20-30*F and the computer tells the gauge to sit rock-solid steady. Oh, just noticed Supercharged showed a range in thread #3. Plug in an OBDII monitor if you really want to know the actual sensor temp, but it's not necessary unless you've got a problem.

 

That's why I always prefer to have something like a Scangauge hooked up so I can see exactly what temps are running. More information is always a good thing.

 

What is normal temperature with OBDII reader? Mine the needle stays below middle scale, own 9 mths ago.

 

Yes, that is normal. Normal temperature is up to 190°F
