PLEASE HELP!!
I have been trying to remove what seems to be seized front Brake rotors for my 2003 Highlander.

Are there any procedures for removal, such as an aligement of the rotor etc???

I have read that hitting the rotor with a sledge hammer works...BUT! it seems a drastic measure and I am afraid of imparing damages.

Does, heating the center of the hub work? If so, how much heat should I apply.

PLEASE note that I have tried the center threads and insterted screws in an effort to pry off teh rotors. NOW I HAVE 2 CRACKS in the rotor!! HELP !! PLEASE!!

PLease write to me LGMAB@HOTMAIL.COM

UPDATE:

I used a good hammer and resolved this problem.

To note however, I experienced 2 cracked rotors, due to reverse-pull process of trying to pry the rotors off from center hub.
I purchased non-original cross-drilled rotors and feel that they are of higher quality.

Don't heat the center portion, heat the disk area around the center hub. How hot? Guessing 3-400F degrees. The cast iron will expand greatly and break free.

Might apply something like Never-Seize to the areas on the rotor that bind or perhaps better a high temp brake grease.

Next time run bolts into the holes on the rotor and they will pop the rotor off the hub. Like someone else said, then use Anti-seize or high temp brake lube on the hub and back of rotor where they mate.
