Do you have a sunroof

 

We do and it occasionally pops. This sound is coming from the front end.

 

Ah, in that case I would suspect a control arm bushing. If it's to the point where it's making audible noise, it'll be visibly damaged and easy to confirm.

Here are pictures of the two bushings. They have cracks but look okay according to the Car Care Nut (Toyota trained mechanic).
The popping continues. It has happened even when we do not hit a bump, but are braking or accelerating at low speeds. It is still sporadic.

Your thoughts?

 

Changed the control arms with Mevotech Supreme. Did not correct the problem. Here is a video that shows the sounds and when they occur. Exactly the same.

 

Did you ever get this figured out. I have the same issue.

 

The popping resolved itself. I have no idea what it was. Toyota doesn't either... Let us know if you find a solution. Sorry

 

I fixed the noise in mine by replacing the swaybar end links. It hasn't made the noise since.
