Fuel System Additive Service at the dealership...

When I took my Camry in for an oil change in February, one of the recommended service was "Fuel System Additive".

Is it worth it to get the fuel system additive since my Camry had about just over 142, 000 miles (Now 147,500), keeping in mind that I have not experienced any rough running or any other symptom that would necessitate the service mentioned.

In addition, more recently, when I had my ECU replaced, they found carbon deposits in my throttle body, which they cleaned for me at no charge.

Yes. But, I'd use Techron and/or Sea Foam...after every oil change, it would be less than $15. AND, I'd use "Top-Tier" gas regularly.

Out of curiosity, what did the dealer offer, out of the goodness of their heart, to charge you for that cleaner?
Not sure, The price was not on the invoice. But I know it would be cheaper to DIY :)
