I’ve owned this car for 2 years and basically in the past 2 months I’ve noticed a drop in range for the remote fob. I replaced the battery, with a CR2016 like the manual says and also what it had before and still I am getting bad range. Like nothing changed. Is there anything else that could be causing this?

Your fob transmitter may be getting weak. Some auto parts stores have a tester for key fobs regarding output signal strength. You might want to search if you can find an auto parts stores that has that setup. Otherwise, places that only sell batteries (like Batteries Plus) would have such a tester.
Figured it out. Turns out a plastic piece broke off and was keeping the battery from seating all the way. Getting excellent range now.
