I really like the look of the camry's I see on the road with the factory ground effects kit, I think it is usually on the SE edition and I'm not sure what year the car is. What I want to know is if there is any ground effects kits available with that same factory style that will fit, or if the same kit will fit on an 03-04 model? The local dealer told me that his parts book only has a description listing it for the 05 SE model, and he told me that the 05 model changed slightly on the front and rear bumper. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

Thanks, thats what I thought. I just wanted to be sure. Toyota.com's description of it specifically states that its for improving the "lines of your SE" so I just wanted to make sure. As far as I can tell though, the only difference in the front bumper for the 2005 model is the front air dam. It almost looks like the car is frowning. IMHO, I don't really like the way they've modified it, but thats just me.

I was driving the other day and I saw an '05 SE with the ground effects kit on... and I thought that the new front air dam's contour lines don't look that good as they match up almost perfectly with the lines of the underbody spoiler. I think it makes the empty space in between the left and right underbody look even bigger, and I don't like that. Oh well. Haha. Thats not gonna stop me from getting the kit on my '02 LE. The Vizage kit is nice and all, but I don't know... the TRD Ground Effects just appeals to me more for some reason... and I think that it'd match better with my sportivo grill.

To get the Sportivo grill, you have to contact stephen wallace at toyota of australia... his email is stephenw@pacifictoyota.com.au and if he has them in stock, you can arrange a payment method and he will ship them to you. It costs $270 AUD + $70 AUD which is about $260 American. It ships in about 3 or 4 days going DHL 3 Day Air. It comes primed and ready to paint.

For me, the paint cost me quite a bit too, though... the Salsa Red Pearl paint is like... $45 for half a pint... man... but oh well, it was worth it.

As for the Ground Effects looking like the Corolla kit, yes, I totally agree. But I dunno... something about it just appeals to me on the Camry. When you see a stock Corolla S, its like, "ok... whatever..." but when you see a Gen 5 Cam with the ground effects, its more like, "holy shit..." haha.

My friend's cousin is a mechanic for UPS, and as a hobby, him and his crew customize cars and stuff. I went to him and he painted it for me. And unlike shops that do this kind of work constantly and all, he wasn't in it for profit or anything, so he gave me the leftover paint (which is hella expensive 'cause its Salsa Red Pearl) so if I ever need anything painted, I have almost half a pint.

white3ch0c0late are you going to use the 05 factory ground effects kit? If you are let me know I dying to get it but I think that the front pieces won't fit. I have an 04 Camry
The ground effects kit should fit fine on all Gen 5 models. I say this because I've seen both Gen 5 and Gen 5.5 models with them. The front parts shouldn't cause much of a problem because the only real difference in the '02-'04 and the '05 front bumper is the shape of the fog lights and the shape and look of the front air dam. The front pieces are underneath all of that, so I don't think you'd have a problem. Here look:

Getting rid of my kit too..
Hey... uh... are those C5's on your wheels?

By the way, your Camry is sick. I've seen your CarDomain. Why would you want to sell the kit?

Oh ok... the holes are starting to fit haha. Gave her the Cam and took a GS. Not a bad trade. Any plans for the GS?

As for the C5's, are those 18"? I'm planning on getting a set, and I like the way yours look compared to the Camry size.

You would think that there wouldn't be a problem. I have called a few dealerships and they said the front and the back is different. The rear bumper is just a little wider or something. This severly depressig because damn I was hopeing to get a body kit. I didn't want anything extreme and I really like the looks of the factory ground effects. I can still order these pieces spereratly but that would cost about $1400 unpainted. If anybody has any more knowledge on this subject please share. Or if anybody knows of a aftermarket kit that pretty close to factory.

I dunno, man... if you go to hamertoyotaparts.com (Hamer Toyota is a local dealership in Los Angeles), and you go to their online store, the picture of the ground effects kit that they have for sale is on the Gen 5, not the 2005 model Camry's. I think the dealerships were trying to pull your strings.
