On Monday I took ownership of a '99 Corolla CE with slightly less then 49000 miles and still on the original engine and transmission. The first owner kept meticulous records and was fanatical about 3 month oil changes, regardless of the mileage.
Just about the the only thing that hasn't been done/isn't up to date, as far as maintenance, is replacement of the spark plugs. That will be one of my first orders of business. Pretty much the only thing 'wrong' with this car is that the plastic around the rear windows (internal) has dried out and come unstuck.
