2019 Highlander had a dead battery that wouldn’t take a jump. When I pushed the start button, the screen would just go blank…completely dead.
Took the battery to Autozone. Test showed the battery fine, but down to 25%. They charged it and I put it back in the Highlander, still nothing.
I pulled the main fuse to try to reset the ECU, which created a fun new problem – when I connect the battery now the fan kicks on and the lights on the dash just keeps cycling through a series of error message, but nothing else works.
Fun twist – in testing what electrical worked and didn’t the doors locked and won’t open…even using the manual key, so I can’t get in to try anything.
