Hi All, I wanted to know how you all protect your Sienna leather seats from the damage caused by car seat installations?

Please send me a link of any products like foams etc., you use to protect leather seats...

Thanks in Advance...

ACS Rob: Thank you. But it looks thin from the picture in amazon. I am really surprised as to how it is protecting the seats...

I also read reviews about these where people say that the rubber like non-slip material at the bottom sticks to the leather seats causing them some sort of permanent stain/damage...

BTW: I have 2 eddie bauer 3 in 1 car seats and one of this is rear seat for at least 2 more months.

Thanks again.

it's far from being thin. it's made of thick plastic like material with extra paddings. it does have a rubberized bottom for grip. if liquid from spills happen to get underneath, i can see how the rubber material can stick to your leather if you leave it to dry by itself. this shouldn't be a problem if you clean any spill that occurs. :dunno:

We used the prince lionharts in our previous Odyssey and they seemed to help a little. More so with kid crap than anything. When we pulled the LATCH seats out the cusions were smooshed down but they cleared up after awhile. As tight as I put the carseats, I don't think anything short of plate steel would keep the cusion from deforming. If anything the Lionhart kept the car seat from rubbing/cutting into the leather.

I've had similar issues in my RX350, but found that after a few weeks while not 100% perfect, the leather was fine after removing the car seats. We have a 2011 Sienna LTD and I assume the leather will hold similar to my experience in the Lexus.

I've been using this one:

[ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00081L2R6[/ame]

It's thin (which you want, for safety reasons), but it's dense so I haven't had any problems with indentations. The gray color matches the seats, and the material will not come off or stick to the seat.
