Today I got into a little fender bender, was stopped at a traffic light and the lady behind me accidentally leaves her foot off the brake and her car rolls into the back of mines and I have her front license plate impression left on my rear bumper. She does have allstate insurance, but I an skeptical about having Toyota Collision Center replace my bumper. Should I be worried about Toyota Collision Center handling my car, heard some terrible stuff when people took their car into the collision center. So was thinking about replacing the bumper myself? Can it be done and how hard would it be or should I just take it into Toyota's Collision Center?

If you are going to have her file a claim her insurance is paying for it. If not, she should be paying for it.

You can take it to any body shop you want - doesn't have to be Toyota's Collision Center. Replacing the bumper yourself isn't that hard, but painting it to match and getting a good finish on it is.

her insurance is paying for all the damage and rental car, my only worry was, professionalism on of Toyota's Collision Center part, how they do they work, they they cause any other damage while replacing the bumper those type of stuff I am worried about when taking it to Toyota's Collision Center. And I know if your order the rear bumper from Toyota it comes painted your factory color with clear coat and all.

Usually replacement bumpers are in primer.

Again - I wouldn't assume that the Toyota Collision Center at Dealer A is worse or better than the Toyota Collision Center at Dealer B or an independent body shop ... You're best to ask around locally with others who have had work done.

go to the collision center and ask to see an example of their work, ask them to show you cars that just finished bumper repair. ask the collision shop if they are replacing the bumper or just filling and repainting the current bumper. ask how long their repair warranty is. a professional shop would know how to paint a flexible bumper properly so that the paint does not easily flake off.

rear bumper cover replacement is very easy, you can DIY at home, but toyota collision centers are best, i used them ones few years ago for my corolla, and the job they did on fender was like, new car came out of factory, i tried looking for any faults of imperfections in body work, but didnt find any, body work is top notch and the best then, any body shop can do. and best part is that, No one was able to tell if i really had some bodywork done on that car. they are too perfect in body work.
