Okay, I did look around before posting this, but could not find an answer that answered my question.
I was taught to change oil every 3000 miles, but with all these new high-tech oils these days, the question of how long to go between oil changes has gotten extremely complex. It seems that every type of oil is different.
On my last oil change, the place was out of the normal oil I get and I went with a new oil called CASTROL GTX FULL SYNTHETIC, which used to be called "Castrol GTX Magnatec". This oil was EXPENSIVE! Cost me $95 for the oil change because my 2013 Sienna uses over 5 quarts.
Now I have done some searching around to find out how long I should go before changing the oil again, and I cannot find a solid answer for this oil. I have seen everything suggested from 3,000 to 15,000 miles.
I was just wanting to hear what other Sienna owners have heard.
EDIT: I just wanted to add that all of my miles are almost all highway miles. I drive using what I call the "Eco-Driving" method. Accelerate very slowly and only downhill if possible. Coast to a stop. Drive at slower speeds to increase fuel economy. I average about 22.5 GPM in my 2013 Sienna and I am always carrying three or more people and lots of luggage.
