thanks for all the replies.
It looks like I may have a chance to get a 2004 SR5 4x4 .It is the one I have been thinking about.Has 195000 miles on it everything works front and rear ac..however the rear window doesn't go down.I guess not a big deal...couple scratches here and there.Interior really nice..
think 4000.00 will buy it..
seeing the mileage everyone has maybe worth a chance..

Sounds like a good deal. We paid $6,500 for a 2005 with 165k. Check for frame rust.

Does the rear wipers work and the back defrost? The back window on the 2005 we bought wasn't working and the rear wipers and defrost wasn't working either. After watching some YouTube videos, we found out it was a window safety lock that needed to be adjusted. The window was suck and would flip some sort of electrical code that would disable the other rear features. It was a pretty easy fix. The window, wiper, and defrost all work now with just an hour of time and no parts needed.

I've lost complete faith in Toyota as a result of this issue on my Sequoia. Barely hit 100k. My rear window sounds like its going to fall out at any time. They want 1600 dollars to fix what is clearly a defective part. My 4wd will not engage now as a result. I had a doublecab that succumbed to an early transmission failure and now this on my Sequoia. I'm done with what was once a reliable brand. Unfortunately when you look at the new models from Toyota they appear to have been designed and built by Tonka. The 4runner is hideous, the Tundra is a clone of the F-150, and the Sequoia still looks and feels as cheap as an old Dodge Durango. Step up to the Landcruiser and Lexus LX and it has the same cheaply painted silver plastics that wear off when you look at them that the Toyotas do. Leather is no longer leather and cloth is no longer cloth. Build quality and material quality are horrendous across the board. Am I on an island here or does anyone else agree? What are you buying to replace your Toyotas?

It sucks that you have had no luck with your Sequoia. I have never had issues with any of my past or present Toyota vehicles. I have owned several MR2 and Celicas, a Rav 4, Lexus 300 and a Sequoia. I have always been impressed with their reliability and continue to be dedicated to the brand. It certainly doesn't mean that there are not issues with each brand but there doesn't seem to be any particular auto maker that can produce a vehicle devoid of issues. Maybe you got a lemon? Historically, Toyota produces vehicles that have above average reliability.

Good Luck in your search!

Our 2002 has 310,000miles, we purchased it new and it runs just below 2500RPM's at 75 miles per hour. We have changed the timing bell three times and the oil every 4000miles. Maintenance is the key, request service records if considering a purchase.

Just bought an 03 limited w 157k . Dealer serviced entire life and took a 450 mile trip day after I bought it and I'm very impressed. Seats need redone, but its such a contrast to the pos suburban I unloaded 6 mo ago w same miles and a rattle bucket.

After that long trip, parked it on my clean rv slab for the night and not one single drip!

Was seeking something to pull behind my motorhome that's big enough to hall 3 guys over 6 feet tall and this puppy fits all our needs. Blue ox tow tow bracket on the way.

Who has the most miles on their Sequoia?

I have a 2003 limited, at 103k miles, don't really use it too much in the spring/summer/fall. It was bought brand new and like the previous post above, only issues I've ever had were the rear window (fixed it myself) and the rear lift gate not opening (replaced the handle for piece of mind but it was caused by the lock actuator which I replaced myself too)

Bought my 03 at 145k. Always dealer serviced and since then I've wondered why didn't I buy one of these years ago?

I'm 6'3" and have never owned a car with the rear leg room this puppy has.

Originally bought as a toad for our diesel pusher mo-home which btw worked flawlessly from coast to coast but I find myself driving it more and more cause I really really am in love !

How many miles do you have on your sequoia?

Ever since I picked up my ole' Sequoia last month with 215K (I have since put 5K on it) I really see this vehicle more now than ever. I'm sure some of it's psychological, but the good news is that I see this SUV on the road from the 2001-2006 ALL THE TIME. I know this vehicle is built for the long haul.

Fellow Sequoia owners......how many miles do you have? Has anyone hit 300K? How about 400K? I'm curious.
