unhook the dash?

1) take out the ash tray. pry around the opening to pull the center console piece off. It's held in with clips, no screws. you might want to disengage the shift lock (little button in front of the shifter) for more room. be careful you don't break the console piece...i've done it and it's expensive to replace.

2) use the appropriate socket driver to remove the bolts holding the head unit in.

SGG, how can u pull the center console pieces off, because i try almost everything and the clip wouldn't come off

 

Pull from the lower left take out the ash tray and it should unclip and then from there its easy just do the other side and then carefully start pulling from the sides.

 

Ben's right. just pull out the ash tray and pry carefully. it does take some amount of force though. it might help to push the vinyl trim away as much as possible.
