It's pretty easy... take a look at injen's picture... I'm sure they look quite similar anyway since all sri's are about the same...

don't know what to tell you if i still had my instructions i would scan them into the comp. and send them 2 you but i threw it away....sorry and also why would you buy a injen sri w/o instructions was it brandnew and if so who opened the box...b/c every sealed package from injen should always have an instruction manuel...good luck buddy and just 2 let you know the sri doesn't give much of a hp increase my 1-2 hp but the throttle response is better

you have the 3mz-fe engine?

edit: here are pics of my install. Its quite simple. Just unbolt the old one including the airbox which contains your filter and put on the new one. reattatch tubes going to engine/various parts of car. Make sure its all sealed up and ur good to go. In my car there is one small tube that is now not used because this ebay SRI doesnt have that. So far no check engine light.

By the way ive added more tightening rings to the intake and small pipes. Havent taken pics yet. but here are the ones of my intial installed intake.

^Well you're gonna have to be more specific... do you have a v6 or an i4? If you have a v6, do you have the 1mz or the 3mz? What EXACTLY came in the package that you bought, down to every little piece? Details, man. Its not the same for every car. We can't help you unless you help us help you.

nodrogkam, what did you do with those three little hoses that went to the stock box? it's right next to the hose you tied up

#11 ·
wierd...i didnt do a thing with them. My stock intake only had 3 hoses coming out of it.

Does your intake have like more than one filter? I know our highlander has more than 3 hoses coming out of the whole intake system.

From a photo i took i counted 6 or 7 coming out of it.

i guess i'll find out what to do with them when i take it apart. but yeah it has a bunch of hoses comin from it. i'll take a picture of it.

It comes out of the valve as circled and into the stock box? what are those for? then there are those uhh....electronic devices? what do i do with those.

oh well holy crap. To be honest the ones from ebay will not do for you. Those will certainly cause something to go wrong in your car. It certainly looks more like a highlander intake to me and so im kinda stumped on what you would do with those.

Do you know if Injen/AEM makes one? At least you could see what they do with all that junk.

i see.......nobody knows what those are? darn it. The only aftermarket intake any company makes is the Weapon R intake. and i dont think anybody has bought it.....

#17 ·
sorry man. Perhaps you'll be one of the first to test it? I'd contact them and ask them specifically. Perhaps they'll show you the installation sheet which will give you the info etc?

I do suppose you weren't looking to pay much for one in the first place. But at least try to get info from them.

bah i think i give up on the SRI....i'm actually gonna just get some 3" rubbing piping and remove the silencer and slap a breather on. =/

#22 ·
yeah.....it's like a ram-air setup almost.......except it's a little higher above the grille.....it does get cold air....but i didn't even see the part where a pipe goes into the bumper/fender?

Yeah i think it'll help a lot and i'll get maybe better throttle response? and the sound hopefully.

#24 ·
yeah the intake scoop* where it sucks in air* sits right above the radiator. and the scoop* has two small 2" squarish holes. one pipe going down and then back up to the box. and the other pipe going straight to the airbox. it's a weird setup. maybe two air velocities meeting at one type of deal? other than that after examining it......i'm just taking out that empty box of a resonator/silencer.

Is that your engine bay? If so what kind of sway bar is that and what was the cost, and does it perform as good as it looks?

yeah that's my engine. The strut bar? it's the stock one that comes on SE. came painted black. looks really nice and my car handles nicely. i dunno what to compare it to but i make turns pretty good.

i wanna try it doing a racecourse.
