How to remove dash to access blank knock outs next to Tow/Haul button?

Hi all,

I wish to install a REDARC Brake Controller in my 2019 Sequoia SR-5. The brake controller is a small knob that replaces one of the blank knockouts. Ideally I wish to install it next to the traction control button which is next to the Tow/Haul button. The challenge is how to remove that area in the dash so I can get access to the back of the buttons.

Have any of you done such a task?

You need to remove the center console by removing the fasteners in the bottom of the arm rest.

Re: positioning of your rear window switch. Did you move that or was it installed there? On my '15 its by my right knee and I sometimes hit it while stretching. Would be awesome to re-arrange all those buttons.

Or you can just pop it out with a small pen knife, jewelers screwdriver or sometimes a large needle.

Sure if you don't mind damaging the console.

It requires little force, you don’t have to be a ham handed klutz to remove them. If you can’t remove one without damaging things you shouldn’t be installing anything in the passenger cabin to begin with.

A person on Tundras 3d prints the switch plate, I moved my switches there.

Why is a new switch plate needed? Would you mind linking me to some of those forum posts? I would love to swap two sets of switches.
