i got into an accident tonight coming home from work. and it sucks balls..

i'm really tired and my head hurts but it was a 4car pile-up and i was the 4th car. my coupe took the biggest hit and the airbags deployed. will post pics tomorrow or something. i feel like shit and i don't know whats going to happen anymore, all i know is that i fucked up in conjunction with the person in front of me and it was enough to cause this.

i feel like shit and i'm still in denial. it was my first ever accident where i was in a car, basicaly. airbags hurt like a motherfucker and i fucked up my right arm somehow (i think it got abrased by the gearshifter or the airbag, will look for blood stains tomorrow). i don't know what is going to happen now and my head is qoozy from some painkillers.

tonight sucked, i made a lot of money from deliveries and was supposed to have fun at the beach meet tomorrow morning. now i'm left with a fucked up arm, a fully waxed sparkling whtie probably totalled coupe and still no full understanding as to why this had to happen to me, tonight.

i'm sorry if i'm blabbering on or if somethings make no sense, i'll edit later. as of now, that is all. pics to come tomorrow.

good night, TN, and i'm sorry for taking a coupe off the road.

OH NO......fuck the car amigo, we can always replace a car....people aren't that easy to replace. I'm just glad your alive. Go to a hospital and make sure you are 100%

My regrets for your trouble, angst and physical injuries. I'm very thankful your injuries were not more severe.

No condolences on the coupe yet; maybe better news will come in the morning or in the days to come?
If not, as many have said and will say, it's "just a car" and we'd prefer that it give its life while protecting yours.

hey guys, i just woke up.

head is all better, i think the painkillers are what screwed me over last night. my dad who's an RN removed the bandages they put on and looked over my arm. Turns out it was just a skin abarasion that ran all the way from the wrist to the elbow, nothing major. there were very few small cuts but he applied a dressing and i'm wrapped up again. otherwise, i'm physicaly good.

otherwise, my lame ass insurance company is closed on weekends so i can't file a claim until monday. car itself looks like a total mess right now. the airbags are deflated now and all jacked up looking. good news is the car starts up and runs just fine. i drove it just slightly to repark it. so maybe it's not a total loss, we'll see. i may post a link to a pic later just to see what everyone has to say about repairs before the adjuster comes.

as of now, i appreciate your responses, guys, and as sorry as i am to say that i had a severe accident, i'm glad i came out of it well. i'm most likely fucked because i was the last car in the pile up but the cop said that primary fault won't fall on me. guy in car 2 was arrested and he was claimed as the instigator, but we'll see.

full story to come tonight when i'm better, peace.

That really does suck, alot of people have been having accidents with their Gen3's the past couple weeks. But it's great to hear that you made it out ok.

As for the accident, I dont know if it's just me but i'm not exactly clear what happened. Did the first guy stop short or something, causing everyone else to hit each other? You say someone got arrested so was it something that could have been avoided? You probably dont feel like answering all of these, which is cool..

it's been about 22 hours since the accident. my head is fine (just didn't get enough sleep) and my arm is not too bad. my dad rebandaged it up and it's gonna be alright. abrasion runs all the way from the elbow up to about 4 inches below the wrist. the area near the wrist is the one that was bleeding so it's covered up now. the abrasion itself should be left uncovered. will post pics later tonight.

let's get into the story of what happened.

time was 9:15, i clocked out from work at 9, had coffee with the girl i worked with, grabbed my pay for the day and went to the car. called my folks at home to tell 'em i'd be home soon and drove off the parking lot. drove about a mile or so north and was supposed to make a left to go westbound towards home.

I am driving in the leftmost lane at about 35ish minding my own business. barely any cars on the road at that time and in front of me is a pretty old buick. i didn't want to get ahead on the right because it's not my driving style and i knew i had to turn in about 300 feet so i just stayed in the left lane. left hand on the wheel, right wrist resting on the gearshift (yeah it's auto, whatever). up ahead (or so happened, this i was told by the police) a white mustang clipped a lady in her bimmer on her right side and they were at full stop in the left lane. next thing i know is that i hear an impact, the buick is at full stop, and moments later my foot is on the brakes tires squealling and the airbag deploys in my face.

i doubt that i was following the buick too closely, it's just not how i drive. and maybe i had the chance to avoid by swerving hard. i think at the last moment i did because only the right side of the car shows hard damage. maybe i didn't hit the brakes soon enough to hit her at a slower speed. i honestly don't know anymore. it all happened in an instant. the airbags deployment is a scary thing though. smoke everywhere and that shit hurts. oddly enough, my car bounced. after i got out of the vehicle, slightly bloodstained, my car was a good 10 feet away from where the buick was. i honestly don't know anymore as to why it happened the way it did.

now for the details: guy in car number 2, the white mustang, was arrested and car impounded because he was not liscensed, insured or registered. in the report, the officer told me he put him down as primary at fault because he was the instigator of the thing. however, he told me that what he says is not the final word and that this accident will go into investigation. lady in car number 3, the buick, was not a young lady, somewhere in her 60s, and kept bitching about everything and at everyone. i think if she would have noticed in time and slowed down , this could have been avoided but i don't want to blame her, cuz i know that i too am at some degree of fault, be it small or large.

my dad came to the scene last night and kept me company. the whole ordeal was extremely hard and nerve wrecking. i have never been in an accident so severe. and here i was the driver who got hit face on by an air-bag. it was scary. i'm just 19 and this was a horrible experience for me.

overall, the paramedic told me that i was glad to be able to walk away the way i did because he said it could have been WAY more severe for me (joy). anyway, here are some aftermath pictures of the coupe parked in front of the house. sorry for destroying a camry coupe, TN, but it is also what saved my life last night...
