I want to change my brake pads and need a lil help

i plan on changin my brakes pads real soon, its a 97 avy, and i need to know if there's any special tools i need to do it, cause im a do-it-yourselfer and i perfer to do my own work so can n e one offer some help?

This thread below was an FAQ on a Gen3 Camry I believe. The processes should be fairly similar to the Avalon...and most other front wheel cars.

I did my Gen1 Camry pads about 2 months ago for the first time. I would grab a can of WD40 though.

One thing though, you will need some kind of clamper or some sort to push in the piston that pushes the pad since the new pads has more meat and won't fit back in the caliber unless you push the caliber piston in.

I used that grip to push it in, but hell it was exercise for me.
