Hi I was wondering what are your normal "idle cold rpms" I had only my Avalon 2003 for just 2 weeks however I "think" that it idles a bit higher than other cars I own/owned. This avalon idles around 1500~1600 rpms just when cold, after it warms up they drop like every car to around 700~800 rpms is this normal for this engine ?

2000 Avalon, 211K. Cold start rpms jump to anywhere 1500~2100; near upper range with colder temperatures (e.g. 0~10 F).

After it is all warmed up, it idles around 600~800 rpms.

The engine is in great condition. It has been regularly maintained, converntional oil changes every 3~5K. So seems like this is the normal rpms behavior. After fully warmed up, I get around 27~29 mpg on highway driving at around 60 mph, you can check yours just to get another data point about your car's health.
