This is a used 03 Corolla I bought a couple years ago. I was under the car today and noticed the bottom of the flywheel is exposed, while other cars I’ve seen on YouTube are covered. Why would it be exposed in the first place? Does this indicate any particular work was done to the transmission or engine? And is it necessary for it to be covered? Is it a very involved job to do so like pulling the transmission to put on the cover? TIA. (First pic is mine, next pic is what others look like)

damn I cant find the packaging it came in, but for sure the dealership has them or can get them, I just replaced mine for probably the 5th or 6th time, they dont bolt in anywhere its just plastic held in by its own tension of being smooshed into place, so a hard pothole shot or a well aimed highway rock can dislodge them. good luck
Edit** this might be the part number, i didnt find the packaging but this is the number I had in my parts list spreadsheet, hope it helps
