Or is it possible to find one of the wires for it and cut it so it never turns on again? i hate it and its unsafe-if i need to move quickly in the snow from harm, i need this stupid system disabled.

There should be a button to turn of the TRAC under the dash near the door pillar. I believe if you hold it in, it turns off the VSC too.

On my Gen 5 I can only turn off the TRAC, it sucks. I am thinking of pulling the ABS fuse(I THINK they are connected) But only for my track days.

If you pull the fuse you will get a code and a SES light.

On the Gen 6, it is triggered with the brake pedal switch. Looking at the wiring diagram, I suspect the brake light bulbs keep the level low on that connection till you press the pedal, then if the level on that connection is high (+12V) and a out of tolerance braking condition exists, it will activate the ABS and VSC. I suspect that connection must be low (at some point during start-up) to avoid the SES light.

I do not see any way to isolate the function to the VSC only.

I seam to remember someone posted a sequence using the E-brake, brake activating and ignition switch routine to disable the VSC at a single start-up. You might want to search for it.
