Looking for the factory airbox clips (tabs?)

I can't find these anywhere, except on eBay when they come as part of a whole airbox assembly that costs $100.

These are the metal tabs that lock the top portion of the airbox to the bottom portion.

If you know where I can get a few, that would great.

They were never given their own part number, so it's not a part that Toyota would offer separately from an air filter assembly.

If you live near any pick your own parts junkyard, would be easy enough to find these. The junkyard near me charges $19.70 for an entire air filter assembly.

If you can find a car with a broken unsaleable air filter assembly (cracked housing, pieces broken off, missing the top or bottom half, etc.), they'd probably sell them to you for 50 cents each or let you have them free, take a picture of the assembly and show them the condition of what you took them off from. I wouldn't do this on an intact one as you'd render it unsaleable.

I did the exact same thing because I was getting frustrated also! and i have a way to make them look like brand new buy cleaning them up on a wire wheel bench grinder to get any rust off them completely and then heat them up until they are cherry red and immediately drop them into WD40 to cool watch the transformation! been doing this for quite some time to all my fasteners also. make sure you use a needle noise vise grip locking pliers when cleaning them on the wire wheel, so you clean them spotless to remove all the rust before you heat them up and drop them into a small metal container with the WD40. I went through the exact same thing and was driving me crazy so, I went to a salvage yard where you can pull your own parts and found some on wreck Toyota cars. that's the only way you're going to get them for your vehicle. if you look down further on these Comments, I posted a way to redo them to make them look like New or better so check it out. joe
