I have seen images where it is on the right or the feft side (as you sit in the drivers seat left hand side)

here is what I am assuming it looks like and it says right hand side (passenger side)

but then I see images like this saying lefthand side

any way I can be sure before I go pulling things?

I'd pull them both out and compare the part numbers on both. You might find that they're the same relay, as Toyota used them in many places.I know I have a handful of spares that came with my car, as the PO went junk yarding and collected them, even though they weren't needed (I haven't had to replace any).

Yeah I went to the Junk Yard yesterday and harvested the 2 round metal relays I have on the left side on my car ...I suspect it is the starter as I dont get a start when I tap on relays but I do get a start after tapping the solenoid/starter with a hammer

Left side makes more sense to me, like the second diagram you posted.
Anyone have a plan diagram of the junction block number 1

Yes, this does sound like the starter and not the relay. If it is the original DENSO starter, DO NOT TRADE IT IN!! Take the time to disassemble and clean the corrosion from inside and outside the starter body, especially the copper electrical lugs. My starter (Denso OEM original) was still in my Corolla when I bought her back in March of 2017. She had 98K miles on her then and the starter was acting like it had given out completely by around 2019. I pulled it out, and discovered it was the original starter, so I decided to disassemble, clean and relubricate the bearings, put it back together and haven’t had a single hiccup with it for the last half-decade. You will not buy a better starter than the OEM original. I didn’t even need the $30 starter rebuild kit that I purchased from O’Reilly’s auto parts, I took that back unopened and got my money back. My Dremel saved me money that day! Pull your starter and see exactly what condition your starter is in, then go from there.
That sound slike a good Idea ...sure is a PITA to take out the starter

Also 1 other note sometimes if I turn the key and get a no start if I keep the key fully turned for around 5 to 10 seconds the car will start. As well as doing a boost seems to kick it over as well ...are those 2 symptoms indicative of solenoid?

I have a 1991 Corolla with the same build date 3.91 - Toyota really had their shit together at the turn of that decade. The 1990’s were the zenith for Toyota, Lean manufacturing had been perfected and Dr. W. Edwards Deming’s principles were at their epitome. I have 3 examples from this era, all still going strong.

And there was me thinking AE92's didn't have a starter relay... Mine didn't, my starter was fed directly via the keyswitch. Perhaps it was a USDM thing to have a starter relay? Also if you have the relays pulled out you can test them, the little plastic cover actually is removable and you can inject 12v volts to the switching coil side of the relay. with 12V on one side of the coil and connecting the other side of the coil to ground, you should physically see the relay 'switch' and make an audible click. If you do have to replace them , you can use a starter relay from later generations of corolla (I used a 2000's corolla starter relay for my 4AFE). A relay is a relay after all, as long as you wire them up the same way and its rated for the current then you're grand!

Yup mines has 2 of those I am assuming the one in the top right as I look at it from the floor (on driver side is the starter relay) but as per other comments the solenoid is a relay why do they need 2?

Also like I mentioned when it doesn't turn over I do hear an electrical hum while I hold the key to start so I had assumed that was the solenoid being energized and not engaging.

as well sometime if you hold the key for 5 to 10sec it will actually start!
