Today, both of my headlights fogged up after i washed my car and I have not done any type of mods to my car at all. It fogged up a bit and then it just went away a short while after. Does that mean there's some kind of leak in the headlights to allow the moisture in?

I would also like to know if Toyota will replace them. Thanks!

 

no, sometimes it's no more than a temperature differential between the cold water from the hose to the warmer temp of the car surface, the temp inside the light housing, and the humidity in the air. this would be normal. the original poster either did not replace the bulbs correctly, leaving a gap in the gasket, or he has a very slight crack in the headlight housing, maybe at the seams where the two half's are bonded together.

as stated, maybe the o/p ought to put back his original bulbs, then go to the dealer for a possible free replacement of the housing.....

 

You just need a retrofit buddy.

 

LOL, :lol: yeah if toyota dealership cant help me, im going to try to paint my headlight housing and fix my lights myself. Im just lazy at the moment.

 

Had this when our gen6 was originally purchased, a bit of condensation on the tails and headlamps, it went away though. It didnt come back, a bit of chrome was peeling on the headlamp and we got 2 new headlamps, right after it was installed there was a bit of condensation, but after a bit it dissapeared and never came back ...

maybe just give it some time

 

Change back to OEM bulbs.

Do a car wash and drive to Toyota to prove the condensation, I've had Toyota/Lexus replace my oem headlights before due to condensation.

 

Thanks, yeah i went to a dealer today, they pretty much said, just switch to oem bulbs and go to another one,they will help me out.
