Ok. I'm looking for a more agressive tread (like an AT tire) on a tire that will fit on the stock rims and not rub or require a lift or trimming....

Thanks!

No, a 285 won't.

But I will gladly sell you 4 instead of 5.:)
Ahaha, oh thanks! Ifn I had a lift I'd take you up, but I think I'ma go with some 265s. Sorry bud!

That and some of the reason I still run 265's is because many people (including your self) went back down to them from 285s

No. No going back.

I liked the size of the 285 at, but I liked the traction and better road manners of the 265 mt. Size won. 1/2" of ground clearance makes a HUGE difference off-road. Went to Livingston a few weeks back and stuff I was clearing last year on the 285 at's, I was grinding over this year with the 265 mt's. Had to go back up in size.

Of course, this all translates to a helluva deal on some hardly used tires for someone.

BTW- this is the 5th set of tires I've had on this truck in 3 years. I'm like Norcal and his light bulbs.

255/70 Michelin LTX-MS's
285/75 Goodyear Wrangler AT's
285/75 BFG AT's
265/75 BFG MT's
Now the Coopers.

If it's just the more agressive look your going for, why not get an A/T tire in the same size you have now.

Seems simple to me...

I want the more agressive tread but the stock tires are a little small for the truck.
So then look back at the first reply to your question...

I have the BFG ATs and like 'em. Pretty aggressive tread and good for all types of driving
Those are essentially the next size up
