:D I just got my wheels put on (20x8.5, +20) with BFG gforce comp2's (255/45/20). I kept the spacers on (15 & 20mm) that I use with my oe 19's for winter. I got them nice and flush.

BUUUT, I want to black-out the silver circumference and caps. I did a quick electric tape of that area to get an idea. Because you cant see the outside silver circle, it actually looks bigger.

 What do you guys think? (rear wheel)

Looks great....I am actually thinking about 21" that someone did it on his white SE. But I think I would stick with the OE 19". I just got the SE last week and will taking my family of 8 to TORONTO end of July...if I see you around Markham area I will try to stop you...LOL (keep an eye on a Silver SE come from ILLINOIS).

Actually 21" wheels, as rare as they are and expensive because of that, would be the perfect size imho. Find that link cause I'm pretty sure I haven't seen anybody have a 21" wheel on a sienna.
I live on the north side of Markham actually-no joke! (give it up for the pacific mall and Tim Horton's!) If you're around we should hook it up ---u can show me yours and I'll show you mine:lol:
Seriously, pm me if you want.

Nice swagger wagon Thanasi!

This is exactly what I wanted, arctic white SE, but....
The dealership had this and the Ltd on the lot... Couldn't convince the wife enough... She loves the look of SE but likes the features of the limited.
Guess features are more important!

That guy is our member motoxxx. He needs spacers, bad! If there were some proper pics from front side, and rear side you'd see that it is lacking. It is one of the biggest improvements you can do to the SE. Otherwise it suffers from the "railroad service truck" look. And for $400 for H&R's installed, it's the biggest change for so little.
Don't get me wrong, of all the vans I looked at before modding, I loved motoxxx's the most. His Killis' on white are awesome. But like I am thinking on mine, I would also consider painting the wheels gunmetal.
But then again, for a lot of us --- these are our wive's vans that we're stealing away to work on---lol!

I have to agree on the new sets of wheel with the more aggressive offset instead....that is only if I am buying the 20" but so far, none of the family member would like me to do that. Beside, my car is already lowered...because everytime when I am using her, it is family of 8...I don't think I can use any lowering when I am carrying 8 passenger.

One thing I will do...Plasti-dip the rim to flat black, and the emblem. Might add the MGP caliper covers....if I am stupid enough, I might add the fake Brembo brake caliper cover to ruin my brand new van...LOL

They sell paint for calipers or you can use a high heat paint. I've always gone with black, but depending on the color of the car you can match that as well.

Hi Thanasi, nice van. I love the set up. I currently have a 2011 black SE with all the crome pieces blacked out. I am thinking about getting 20s (tsw nurburgring in matte gunmetal).
I had some of questions for you:
1. How are the bfgs?
2. How is the ride on 255/45 20? Compared to stock.
3. What did you do with the tpms? Are they on the new wheels?

Thanks!
Those will look super and TSW does have a lot of offsets to choose from.
1&2) These BFG comp g-force 2's are a great supercar tire for performance for summer. They've just been released, and were amazing in terms of price---really, really good! I use my 19's for snows now, and wanted a dedicated summer tire. As such I wanted it to stop better and corner, just plain do everything better than winters and all seasons---No compromises. And they definitely do---the car definitely stops better, corners with no howling, and less traction-control interference on quick acceleration (even in the rain). Even my wife noticed that (says a lot actually-lol). And all in all a safer tire.
However, I guessed wrong in terms of road noise. It appears that more cut treads, and nibs and stuff that I thought would make noise, actually doesn't necessarily. It's way quieter than my winters (Pirelli sottozero's actually), but not as quiet as the Michelin Primacy's that the SE came with. So good all seasons can be quieter. Don't get me wrong the BFG's are NOT too loud at all---I am just pretty picky. But I was kinda surprised here, cause 'quietest' was a goal too.
Also if it matters (and it does to me :D) tread pattern and sidewall look sick. Even guys who don't know much always say "the rubber looks siick" a lot.
3) Adding them to my summer set was gonna be $300-400. Most live with the light on especially like me having OE's with winters. The yellow indicator is small and not intrusive. Because you're in Cali and these may be your only set of wheels, I think you could use reuse your old ones (not totally sure tho).

It only rubs when reversing and full turned. Not bad though, it doesnt prevent you from full turning and reversing. And where it does rub, it is on small all-smooth area on the back inner fender wall---nothing to grab or tear at all. But any change wider or taller on the SE will rub. Even my original 235/50/19's would rub if on an incline or not sitting flat (full turned and reversing).
I assume you're talking 20" and wider rubber. It may clear the caliper and may not rub on the inside of the rear depending on the size of the tire. But even just for the looks, either use spacers or go for +20 to move the wheel out.

Then you should get +20 to fit clear and fit flush. You have my numbers (+40 with 20mm spacer with tsw 8.5" and 255/45-20's BFG's). If you copy all of these except for the spacer then +20 is right.

To review there are two types. Ones where you change out the original studs, (which is not at all difficult or "modifying" as it sounds) and have a "spacer" between the wheel and hub. H&R have a good set which is about $250-300 for parts (spacers and longer studs) then 2-3 hours labour to put them in. Wheels never interfere with anything here (no original studs to clear).
The second type are "bolt ons" with the other studs attached to the spacer which is then attached to the original studs. Ichiba V2's are these type. $250-300 for the set and half hour labour. And with 15mm and 20mm ones, my TSW's cleared no problem, as well as my original Toyota 19" wheels that I still mount for winter. So you shouldn't have any issues especially if you are going TSW.
IMPORTANT: You should always get these installed by a recommended pro that uses proper tools eg. Snap-on . Don't be cheap here, only because I believe that it is guys who DIY that can screw up something that looks like a "simple job", but make it something simple to F up. Then blame the product in the end.
