Located on the air compressor itself behind the pulley? That would be the ac clutch coil.

Could be a slow waterpump leak for sure. Any red/pink crusty stains around there?

I hate rtv. Some need to really cure for a long time to really not leak. Also i know it's just a valve cover but are you torquing it in a criss cross sequence?

The absolute best rtv I have ever used is Motorcraft TA-31. It's for the Ford diesel's but it is super strong, fast curing. I use it in all applications that either don't want to seal, or pita jobs you never want to again. Like a timing cover on our cars lol.

Yeah most people never need it, but should you ever go belly up youd be happy to have that battery stay in place lol.

And even a poor fitting battery hold down is better than nothing. They are designed for a rollover so the battery doesn't direct short against the hood causing both high amp discharge and fire.

Even shops dont rebuild calipers anymore. Too much time and liability. Not saying it can't be done, but this is a much different ball game then a normal brake job. And for how cheap reman calipers you could get you would get warranty and soneone to sue in the event of a failure lol.

The absolute best is baking soda and water. Soak that terminal in a solution of that and there won't be crusties.

Dielectric grease works or battery terminal paint. Apply after tightened to the battery. Dielectric grease is non conductive. Works great as an insulator.
