The ones on the steering wheel are deeply imbedded, so that they do not come off and injure someone when the air bag explodes. You need to replace the entire airbag.

Look at these two pics.

The emblem has little "legs" that go through the cover, and have been "melted" a bit to expand on the back side.

The best way to replace it is to remove the air bag from the cover.

You may be able to pry the emblem out, but you may also damage the cover.

I did find some new covers for about $40 online, too.

It would be easier to go to a hobby shop and see if you can find some chrome paint and do a touch up.

 

I've never seen "chrome" paint that looked like anything other than raw aluminum, particularly brush-on.

 

they have a mettalic or chrome looking nail polish that might work

 

Use a heat gun/hair dryer to melt it off

 

I would be concerned that it could damage or melt the plastic airbag cover. That being said it looks like it could need to be replaced to swap out the emblem so you could try it first and then swap the entire airbag cover if it did ruin it.

 

wtf ? 2015 model and already that mark looks like that
