Ive noticed most of you on here just call your truck "The Taco", but I was wondering if any of you had any other nicknames you call your truck. Ive always had "names" for all of my other vehicles but I havent come up with a good one for my Tacoma yet. Maybe some of you call it by some hot strippers name your wife doesnt know about or something like the "silver bullet" or "red rocket"? Anyway you get the idea, just post whatever you call your truck when youre "talking to it" (you know you do dont lie) or when youre talking about it. (Im going to go for a ride in the ______________.)

lmao thats great lol
Well, when I bought the F-150 I had the choice between a '00 Tundra or the F-150 I currently own. I was kinda on a tight budget at that time (new job and saving up to buy a house), and the F-150 was $3000 cheaper.
Well, long story short (lots of little nickle 'n dime fixes on the F-150, issues with piston slap, minor electrical gremlins and an oil leak that is slowly but surly getting worse) getting the F-150 was a mistake IMO. One thing I learned: never settle for second best!

Yeah, woulda shoulda coulda.
Im looking at getting either a Tacoma 4x2 reg cab or a Tundra 4x2 reg cab V6 when my F-150 is at 200,000 miles.
The sad part is, I actually like the F-150. It looks good, has great power (5.4L V8), can haul a lot in the bed and is pretty good in the snow. Its just the little BS problems that ruin the ownership experience.
The oil leak is the only thing that really bothers me. I tried cleaning where it leaks with brake cleaner and putting some hi-temp silicone on it, but it still leaks. Im just going to add 1/2 quart of oil every 1000 miles and hope for the best. If worse comes to worse and Im at 150,000 or 175,000 miles and its leaking really bad, I will just trade it in. :dunno:
Ive owned Toyotas in the past ('85 and '91 4Runners) and liked them, but went to Ford because they are much cheaper to buy. Well, I learned that all I got was just that: a cheap vehicle. I'll gladly pay a premium at purchase time and for repair parts with a Toyota, because in my opinion you get a superior product.

For some reason the guys here at work name every ones vehicle. They just refer to mine as "Blue" and everytime they do, someone has to drop a line from the moive "Old School" like "You're my Boy Blue"! My daughter now even refers to it as "Blue".

Another guy has a blue Celica that they jokingly call the "Blue Rocket" and anyone who is a fan of the show Scrubs will know "Maliek" which is the name for another car.

A friend of mine who I used to go to school with named it "Tyrone"...I guess its a fitting name...

I prefer to think of it as "Tyrone Biggums"

The kids say they are going to come up with a name... all my other cars were called Betsy. like "come on betsy.... make it up this hill and I'll buy you a quart of oil..." I know a lot of you think the 4 cylinder isn't powerful enough. but when you've driven a 3 cylinder Subaru Justy for a few years... It really Wow's you. The Taco needs its own name :)

when i got my tacoma i saw how easy it was to have a lot of front and rear end damage and this is my last set of wheels ( ya a senior guy)

so i put a hitch on the back and bull bars on the front. and have had no trouble in the parking lots now

so figured this fit with the extra protection
