You won't need a new radiator, BUT if you do need a new one, Nippondenso has been pretty good for me. I'd recommed them anyday.

 

As far as telling the difference between Nippodenso and Harrison, a Harrison radiator says "Harrison" right on the top. I've not seen a Nippodenso to be able to positively identify one.

The Nippendenso was made in Japan, and the Harrison was made in the USA by General Motors for Toyota.

 

OEM rads are usually better but more $$$$, it all depends how much you want to spend on one.

 

The reason that the OE manufacturer lists two radiator makers, is because they changed contracts in midstream. This happens from time to time. Aftermarket is the way to go, none of the Car Manufacturers make their own radiators. IE. Ford used Visteon, Early Fords contracted Modine to make their radiators Chrysler contracts Valeo to make theirs. All those manufacturers offer radiators for the vehicles they didn't have the OE contract on, and are considered Aftermarket. Even though they are aftermarket, they are OE quality, that is except for the junk import radiators like Silla and most brands that are sold by 1-800 radiator. If anyone needs a good Modine radiator at a good price, try www.completeradiators.com , I've bought a few from them and they were great, really knew their business.

The good thing is, that aluminum scrap is at 40 cents/lb. If it comes all the way from China and there's something wrong with it, you can recover some of your money. I personally wouldn't trust any product but Modine, engines are too expensive.

 

i had good luck with a CSF on a friends car, a 91 turbo capri. it was shockingly all metal! soldered brass and copper for under $200 and thicker than the stock plastic/aluminum one. well thicker because they only sell one rad for both auto and manual. which brings me to the other point. get a rad for an auto, they have a thicker core.

 

well i remember pricing a rad for my 94 they wanted i think it was $480 for one from toyota...too pricy for my blood, well i went down the street to the Used Japanese Auto parts place they had these Autocool Rads for $100 bought it and have had it for about 3 years no problems at all and its like a clone of the denso rad in my moms corolla.

My car i think had the harrison rad it had steel tanks rather than the denso plastic ones...\

That ebay rad if the one pictured is the one it doesn't look right at all, the ports are in the wrong places the rad looks completely the wrong size...

 

There should be a factory sticker indicating the brand, I know mine has one, it's the Nippondenso unit.
