to confirm, Apple Carplay doesn't work with a wired connection? I don't think the '21 or '22 venzas have wireless carplay. If not, best to take it to the dealership

 

Correct this was a wired connection using an apple cable. Thank you I'll have the dealer look take a look.

 

Both Carplay and Android Auto have to be enabled in the settings menu.

Hafa Adai. Just bought a 22 venza xle on sunday that arrived at the dealer Saturday. It has Apple CarPlay and android auto.

No, got mine here in Florida. I worked on Guam back in 2007-08. A few co-workers are still there, some Chamorro, some not.

 

I just received this reply from Toyota USA:

The Apple CarPlay for your 2022 Venza LE is only available as a factory-installed option at the time of manufacturing and not possible to install once the vehicle leaves the factory. Toyota does not currently offer this feature as dealer installed accessory nor in kit form for installation at a dealer post-sale.

Hello sorry to revive a dead thread. but just wanted to update that the 2023 Venza LE has apple carplay wireless as standard.

My wife purchased a 2022 Venza LE here on Guam and have the same issue. Just wondering if there is any way to replace the headunit with a new one to get the carplay working

 

Hi, that's what I want to try, I just need a head unit that have apple carplay to try it, the instructions I found in the net looks simple enough.

 

I’m heading down to AK this weekend and see what’s up. Pisses me off that standard equipment isn’t standard. My 2019 cx5 has carplay/android auto.

Last time I went there for maintenance they told me that Guam is in a different region that is why we don't have carplay as standard.
