New here in desperate need of help...cause I'm bout to freeze my nuts off! Got a 89 Pickup 22RE 4wd 5spd has A/C etc. Several nights ago the blower motor just quit working. I'd like to think that I know a thing or two about cars/trucks and know most of my basics and such about wiring. I've tore the lower dash completely apart and have started checking things. After a little research I figured no biggie just a blower resistor, installed a new one and still no fan at all. I started last night trying to trace all my wiring but can't hardly do so because its so tightly tied up and loomed.
I have NO power to the heater relay on the passenger side fuse panel,NO power to the resistor and NO power to the blower motor. Next figured it had to be the heater control switch so I pulled the switch apart and no signs of massive wear on the contacts or anything, cleaned it real good tossed a metric shit ton of dielectric grease in and put it all back together. I have power at the switch connector or at least to burn the small bulb but do not know which wire sends power further down the line. As far as I know from not seeing a diagram power comes direct from the blower switch,to the heater relay(should hear a click from the relay right?) then to the resistor down to the blower motor am I correct? A wiring diagram would be great to have right now! I know it could still be the fan switch if no power is going to the relay but is there anything else in line that would be blown before the relay?
If nothing else I'll jump a wire to at least get power further down the system to make sure the blower motor is till working etc...help a Yota brother out guys its colder than a well diggers asshole in Idaho here an without heater...well just sucks:facepalm:
