The one you posted does not support JOBD protocol. It's in the listing that it has issues with Japanese cars. Also, it does not support CAN interface, which is a type of communication between ECU and OBD tools.

But my '99 Camry is OBD2 compliant. it's built in Kentucky. Nowhere under the hood or in the car manual does it say JOBD.

The ThinkOBD 100 can certainly read all the DTCs so far.

 

Also, if that is the correct one I linked, take a look at pin count on both of the ones I linked. The THINKOBD100 is missing a lot of pins.

 

Except I use it all the time on mine. Do you want me to go capture live data for you? The only car I have had issues with is the newest Honda Civic. Worked in several other Camry's throughout the years too.

I would not have recommended you something that does not work. It's not something I just randomly found friend.

 

Going through the live data a little and a small amount of revving to show RPM increase on the reader.
