If you are getting a code with a new Denso sensor (confirmed actual Denso via Denso's webpage of authorized vendors) and not a counterfeit, then check the wiring. Animal chewing is sometimes hard to see, but easy to detect using an Ohm meter attached to each end of the wire (unplug the harness from the ECU and identify which wire is for the sensor in question).
