On my Platinum, via USB stick you can play videos, only while parked.

If you shift into drive, the video screen turns off and plays audio only.

I wonder if it's the same for the smaller screen trims?

Flash drive mp4 videos should play on all gen4 trim levels.......plays on both the 8" screen in my '20 Rav4 xle upgrade Nav head and plays on my son's '21 Rav4 xle with lower trim level standard 7" screen.

Plays mp4s on USB flash drive on the Platinum Nav head in Accessory.......placing mp4s in the root directory or subfolders....Browse button permits selection of video and of movies and within folders. Used separate folders with mp3s and mp4s.......does not seem to recognize mixed folders, defaulting only to the mp3s.

Flash drive videos will play only when plugged into the one networked drive on the dash so can't use flash drive and AA/iPlay at the same time. When attempting to play a mp4 video via AA/iPlay through the phone using VLC or other video player, even when stopped in Accessory, the Toy screen will only play audio from the mp4 but the video portion will play only on the phone screen.

I am not seeing this. I have a 2022 Highlander with the big screen. I have usb plugged into the usb port under the unit and the file is in Movie\play.mp4. I can however browse and play music mp3 files. I just can figure out how to play videos. Do I need enTune? I tried downloading it but it's not working. it's forcing me to download the apps via apple store. i have Toyota, Toyota enTune, and Toyota Alexa on my phone but I am not seeing enTune on the car display. Help please,

Yeah - it's in the manual - Even states the supported format and Res. That's where I got the specs for these displays for my Rolla on my ApplePie video.

With stock interface It's limited by motion, but otherwise it's suprising how decent the displays are - rear view camera makes them feel poopy but video runs quite nicely. Camera is just shite resolution.

Manual says NTSC or PAL resolution for my Corolla, which agrees with YouTube app when I run it (show it tapers off at around 480p when playing YT videos on head unit, aspect ratio means you get slight black bars though)

Check your manuals - any modern Toyota should be able to playback USB MP4s
