Has anyone seen the K&N Cold Air Intake for the Camary?

Sorry, I fixed the darn link!

69-8611TS

If you look at the instruction sheet the engine doesn't look much different from a highlander. Would this work in a Highlander? Any thoughts?

I know it's probably a strech but I had to ask!

Happy 4th of July folks!

Short ram, not a full cold air intake but he heat shield should help enough. Was wondering if the Camry's K&N would fit. Looks like they added Venza to it. But, still not good enough for Highlander.
Thanks for the clarification.

I wonder if they're ever going to start making more perfomance stuff for the Highlander. :ugh3:

To bring this post back from a while back, and an FYI... I emailed K&N about this particular kit and got this reply...

"Thanks for your interest in K&N air filter products. Unfortunately at this time K&N does not offer a complete air intake system for the 2010 Highlander. The 3.5L V6 engine is used in the Venza as well as the Camry, RX350 etc. however the engines have different state of tune depending on application. The kit will for the most part fit but since the computer programming is different , you may not see the performance increase.
We do not recommend installing the kit on the Highlander however if you wish to purchase the kit, I would recommend going through the installation instruction for the 69-8611TS and see if there are any modifications needed to the hardware. The installation instructions is available on our website.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for writing,"

Interesting note from K&N, thanks for looking it to it! I'm almost curious to give it a try. Removing the charcoal filter on the intake cover has worked out quite well. The increase in acceleration has been noticable. I started a thread on this way back but I think it lost interest.

TrailDust, it's funny how the thread went to "sleep". I'm bringing the thread back by posting my update. It's such a simple tweak.
